Pamela Leach, PhD is a Tasmanian poet who engages culture, social justice, migration, gender, environment, ability and spirituality in her writing. She has been published in journals including Quadrant, Island, The Mozzie, Tasmania 40 South, Studio, Bramble, Poetry in the Hospital, and in anthologies. Her debut poetry collection, Unlikely Vessels, was recently released by Ginninderra Press (2023).
Pamela’s previous publications include From Fear to Hope: Alternative Australian Experiences on War and Peacemaking (2018). Living increasingly with disability, Pamela has come to poetry as a creative practice that, with technology, does not require fine-motor skills. It is now a consuming passion.
Hear Pamela during the Sunday morning guest poet session, at the Festival.
